I this post I will be doing a Pro Breeze 5-in-1 Air Purifier Review. This is a more advanced air purifier tye, which has an ionizer component in addition to different types of filters. As is my usual review structure, I am first going to take a look at the main features, followed by a detailed pros & cons section. Lastly, I will end the review with my final thought and possible recommendation.

Pro Breeze 5-in-1 Air Purifier – Features
This unit comes with a variety of useful features, which definitely give it an edge against similarly priced competitors.
Multi-layered purification. While most air purifiers in this price range usually come with 1-3 different components of air purification, this Pro Breeze unit comes with five. These 5 components include:
1) Pre-filter: Its role is to capture only the largest harmful particles/pollutants.
2) True HEPA filter: the bread and butter of cleaning. Removes 99.9% of all harmful particles from size 0.3 micrometers and up.
3) Carbon filter: mainly used for volatile organic compounds (VOC). In simpler terms – this filter removes smells and odors.
4) Cold catalyst filter: type of filter that many other purifiers do not have. Its main job is to remove formaldehyde and any other pollutants that remain uncaptured from the other 3 filters.
5) Negative ion generator: Negative ions remove particles as small as 0.001 micrometers and provide a great additional filtration layer.
Top tier Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR). CADR rating simply means how much clean air can an air purifier produce in a minute or hour. Pro Breeze 5-in-1 Air Purifier comes with a CADR rating of 217, which is considered a great number. With such a high CADR, Pro Breeze states that this unit is powerful enough for rooms of up to 500 square feet. Air rate change (ACH) of the device is 5 – it cleans the air 5x in an hour. ACH is often rated between 3-5, with 5 being on the top end.
Simple touch panel with adjustable settings. You are able to change fan speed, set a timer, or activate sleep mode. Fan speed has 3 different levels, the automatic timer can be set to 1, 2, or 4 hours.
Pro Breeze 5-in-1 Air Purifier – Pros & Cons
In this section, I will be taking a look at all of the pros and cons that this unit comes with. In order to keep it as objective as possible, I am going to combine various customer reviews, with my own experience and knowledge in this area. I will also elaborate on each of the positives and negatives.
Advanced filtration system. Many air purifiers In this price range come with a more basic filtration system. Usually, you see a pre-filter, a HEPA filter, and a carbon-activated filter. Pro Breeze 5-in-1 Air Purifier includes a cold catalyst filter and a negative ion generator, which many similar air purifiers do not have. As a result, you can expect better cleaning capabilities which translate directly into cleaner air. The 4 different filters make sure to capture particles that usually escape other, less advanced filtration systems. The built-in negative ion generator offers an additional method of highly effective air cleaning and is a great extra filtration layer to have.
Big cleaning space coverage. As I already mentioned, this unit comes with a CADR rating of 218, which is very high for this price point. As a result, Pro Breeze 5-in-1 Air Purifier can cover even large rooms of up to 500 square feet. This square footage is way above the average of similarly priced air purifiers. While CADR rating does not indicate cleaning effectiveness, it does show your cleaning capacity.
Effective against allergies and asthma. The advanced filtration system makes sure to capture any allergens in the air that would trigger allergic reactions. As a result, you can breathe easier and not worry about your allergies and their symptoms. Negative ions provide some benefits here too, as inhaling them lowers histamine levels.
Cheap and durable replacement filters. Most filters from other air purifiers need to be replaced 2-3 times every year. Pro Breeze 5-in-1 Air Purifier filters need replacement only once a year. It is also possible to vacuum the filter, which is why you do not need to change it multiple times per year. These replacement filters are cheap too! Long-term this means that you save quite a bit of money.
No information about negative ion emission. I found no information about how many negative ions the built-in negative ion produces. This information is very important because it tells us how effective the device is. There is an overwhelming amount of harmful particles in the air. So a small amount of negative ions will not do very much. You need at least a few million negative ions per second, for an air ionizer to be effective at air cleaning.
Can be noisy on the highest fan speed. The manufacturer states noise levels range from 29-61 decibels (dB), with 61 dB on highest fan speed and 29 dB on lowest. Any noise above 45 dB has been shown to disrupt sleep for the average person, so that is a slight concern. You can always turn on sleep mode, however, this comes at an expense of some effectiveness. The noise is not very noticeable during the day. That being said, you probably do not want this running at full fan speed in your bedroom at night.
Filters go out of stock often. While filters for this device are durable, they do have to be replaced eventually. They are very popular and it seems that demand exceeds the supply in this case. It is not rare for them go out of stock and can be quite hard to get, even for months. Better to stock up early, just in case.
Here is a short summary of this section:
Pro Breeze 5-in-1 Air Purifier Review – Conclusion
Pro Breeze 5-in-1 Air Purifier is a great and affordable solution for clean air. It comes with a very powerful 5-stage filtration system, which can clean the air very effectively. Because of such good cleaning capabilities, I also recommend this air purifier to anyone that suffers from allergies or asthma. Pro Breeze 5-in-1 Air Purifier will make sure that no allergens remain in the air after it is done cleaning it. Negative ions are a big help in this regard too, as they lower histamine levels when inhaled. However, keep in mind that I found no information about negative ion emission, which is the most important information when it comes to negative ion generator effectiveness.
As for the room coverage, I recommend using this device for rooms of up to around 400 square feet. Although the manufacturer states the coverage area is 500 feet, I believe that this would be a stretch. While I have no doubts that this unit would be effective even at 500 square feet, I do not believe that it would be optimal at that size. A quick manual CADR calculation supports this conclusion. I would stick to max 400 square feet If you have respiratory problems. 400 square feet is still an excellent room coverage for an air purifier this cheap, and definitely above average at this price point.
Considering what you get and how much you pay, you will have a hard time finding a better-performing air purifier at this level. Keep in mind that replacement filters are hard to get, so consider getting them as early as possible (even if you do not need them).
I would definitely recommend the Pro Breeze 5-in-1 Air Purifier for beginners as well as advanced users. This is a great low-to-mid-tier air purifier that is suitable even for larger areas such as a living room or kitchen.
