The HEPA filter is the main filter that does the heavy lifting and captures the smaller, usually most harmful particles. Filters last up to around 6 months.

Cons

Filter issues. The biggest issue here is the activated carbon filter, which is not as lasting as the HEPA filter, yet integrated into it. This means that you can not replace them separately. Two issues arise from this – either you have to change filters much more often (HEPA filter lasts up to 6 months) or sacrifice some cleaning functions, namely odors and smells in this case. The pre-filter also comes with some possible downfalls. Its material is not very durable and you can quickly damage it, so keep that in mind.

Not that quiet + a weak fan. The noise increases with fan size and spans from 30 dB (lowest setting) up to 50 dB (highest setting). The noise can get a little bit out on the higest fan speed setting, especially if you use the purifier in your bedroom. Since the fan is quite small it needs to spin faster to push enough air out. This means that each time you lower the fan speed you sacrifice some of the cleaning effectiveness. This change can be noticeable if you are using the unit in a medium-sized room (200 square feet) instead of a smaller one. Even on the lowest settings, there is a small humming sound present, which most other air purifiers do not have.

Purezone has come out with a very intriguing air purifier. It comes with good features but falls short by a little bit in some areas. The combined powers of a 3-step filtration system + UV-C light give it really good cleaning capabilities.
